CONGRATULATIONS to JEANE VILLARUZ NIETES, Aquaculturist I of the Municipal Government of Bugasong, for being recognized as one of the 2025 Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo Awardees! This distinguished honor was proudly conferred by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on 28 January 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in Malacañang Palace.

The recognition was granted under the Civil Service Commission’s Search for Outstanding Government Employees, known as Gawad Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal at Galing para sa Bayan (formerly the Honor Awards Program), Ms. Nietes was lauded for her exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to food security and sustainable livelihoods. Her innovative programs, including the Pagsupot Project and Solar Salt Production, have positively transformed the lives of over 2,000 fisherfolk in Bugasong, generating savings, creating better employment opportunities, and strengthening community participation and local economic development.
